Born and raised in Las Vegas, NV, Jamal started his career within a humble music scene, making instrumentals and beats for local artists, and slowly transitioned into selling them to the rest of the world through various online platforms. Creativity was always his strong suit, and as he navigated through the world of music production, writing original songs became his new hobby. In 2023, Jamal made a bold decision to move to Seattle, WA, with the goal of honing his skills as a music engineer and enrolled in the renowned Audio Engineering Production program at Shoreline College. Here, he was given the opportunity to immerse himself in the fundamentals of sound engineering, learning not only to record vocalists and instruments but also how to operate various analog mixing consoles and master the technicalities of running live sound. Introduced to the expansive world of audio, he took every available avenue to broaden his experience and volunteered at local performance centers, eagerly running sound and mixing live shows for diverse genres. During his time in Shoreline, he also developed a profound inspiration for sound design, often experimenting with the intricate layers that compose aural experiences. Nowadays, Jamal spends countless hours redesigning the sound for some of his favorite films, meticulously crafting audio experiences in hopes of developing the skills necessary to become a professional film sound designer. His ultimate aspiration is to blend his passion for storytelling with his technical knowledge, creating immersive soundscapes that captivate audiences and elevate cinematic experiences to new heights, the same way he made music, by manipulating audio until it sounds good.
